Pelvic Floor

The pelvic floor is the foundation of our core. Pelvic floor dysfunction often goes unnoticed and manifests in symptoms such as hip, low back and SIJ (sacral iliac joint) pain. Pelvic floor therapy is used to treat incontinence, difficulty with urination or bowel movements, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, chronic pelvic pain and painful intercourse.

We use Postural Restoration (PRI) techniques in combination with specific pelvic floor retraining and therapeutic techniques to facilitate optimal pelvic floor and postural function. We also use diagnostic ultrasound, an excellent tool for biofeedback training of the pelvic floor.
